Full Update On surgery

Hello everybody It's me Ava the star patient. So the surgery took an hour an a half long we got to the hospital at 8:30am and waited to get called down to our recovery room. So then the nurse called my family and I and we went in and we answered some questions two that were mental forgot what they were though. So then we put the hospital gown on and we just set up my computer and I watched king of queens the series. Then we saw the anesthesia doctor and my family , and I and the doctor were trying to figure out what to do with the anesthesia plan since I can't breathe through my nose to good. So we decided to use the IV. So then a couple of hours later we were called down and my dad walked down the hall then I went to the emergency room by myself. The doctor put the IV in my left arm four times 2 of the times I felt but he did put numb cream on. Then the doctor I guess put the IV in my right arm since my left wasn't accurate enough. Then a nurse put a breathing mask on and told me to relax and take deep breaths. Then at one the surgery was over they asked me how my pain was on a scale of 0 to 10 I said a four which is between pain , but little pain. Then my parents came and I asked my dad to set up my computer for me and then I told my dad ad the nurse their is something hanging in my mouth which was the chain that was supposed to be attached to something so then the nurse said we had to wait 4 hours my family and I were obviously mad but had no choice. Meanwhile while we waited the nice nurses asked how I was doing and one of the nurses asked if I wanted a popsicle and I said "yes please". So then they got me a popsicle and asked if their was anything else I needed and I said nope I think were good. Then 2 hours later Dr. Hirsh the guy who did my tooth surgery came and checked my chain and said it was going to annoy me and he said I can attach it to my braces and then it was great so then they put the chain near my braces and took a wire and turned it on their luckily their was no pain once so ever. Then we were done and then I told the nurse take out my IV so then I could get going. So then a nurse wheeled my outside because I guess it is a hospital policy that you have to be escorted out of the hospital. Then we left got the car and my parents asked my what I wanted to eat because I'm on a liquid diet for 48 hours it has been since one of yesterday so all day to day and then until one tomorrow which mean
What a liquid diet is
Ice cream that is plain flavor is chocolate
popsicle
soup
nothing that has stuff in the food and nothing chewy.
So then we went to the car I watched my TV shows we went to grandma's I had a full bowl of soup that I really, really liked.
Then  watched some more king of queens and then went to bed at 9 I think we all did.

Then at 8:30am 11 and a half hour sleep later I woke up a little sore so I told my mom to give me my usually medicine  which is two of them one that is nasty and relives the pain have to take about every four hours maybe not really four hours maybe like when ever I feel like it , and another medicine   that takes out all the yucky blood and all that nasty stuff in my mouth. If you are wondering if I'm swollen I'm but it is not noticeable. If you would like to know what my pain is right now it is zero pain now that I have taken the meds I needed to. So what I'm saying is it is done I'm happy and I feel no pain if you have any questions that I could probably answer just tell me in the comment section below.

  4. Dear Ava. So happy to hear everything went well with your surgery. Do you know that when I was about your age I had to get surgery in my mouth for my last baby tooth too! And they attached it my braces too! And yes it was very annoying and painful but after a while you won't ever remember the pain or the annoying feeling in your mouth. The next time I see you I can show you what tooth it was! Now that's something to look forward to!!! Keep the eye of the tiger kiddo. You're an inspiration to us all! Love ya!
