MRI RESULTS PART 2

Ok let's not get into the little detail about traveling all I can say about traveling is we went to barcelona for dinner and had pork belly , chicken pocket things , hanger steak. Then dessert chocolate. Hazelnut cake and little fried dough sugary things dipped with chocolate sauce.
Ok here is what happen I was nervous because when I am their Dr.Wisoff who by the way is a great doctor called us and I had butterflies in my tummy the second I got their. When Dr.Wisoff called us my mom said that I'm afraid of when he saids the big words. So Dr.Wisoff answered the questions that I was waging to be answered I asked him
How long will the surgery take. "Two hours the doctor said and one hour until I wake up.
Physical sports/karate have to wait 6 weeks
Surgery date-I think July 14th not sure but that is where we are leaning to.
When will my neck be back to normal 2 weeks not bad at all
How will I feel waking up- neck will be stiff
How long will the stay be-two to four days depending on the pain level.
Durning that time I was a nervous wreck tears were coming down my eyes as I was looking at the picture of my spinal cord with the pocket of fluid even though it was still small. Then I left the room and my mom talked to the doctor and me and dad took a walk.
Then Dr.wisoff asked a question about a RED device that I had when I was four or six. Mom said "do you remember what it is"? My response "yes I rember it was purple and it was painful. So here is what the doctor asked me a six year old was going to get the RED device and the father was nervous so he thought who better to ask about the RED device than me. So I told him that well you should tell him that it is hard your in a lot of pain you need help and then you get it off then are swollen ,but it is worth it. My mom added a couple of things like what I said. Then he said thanks. Mom then told me in the car what her and Dr.wisoff were saying in the office and it was the same thing that she told me.Mom also told me he felt bad that I was upset ,but knew I would be ok during surgery.
That's it bloggers if you have any questions tell me in the comment section below

  2. You had pork belly??? Nice.
PS-Sounds like things went well and even if it's scary you are going to be fine because it sounds like you have a really good doctor and your Mom and Dad always do what is best for you.

It's perfectly normal to be scared, but you are so much braver than many adults I know (myself included). You continue to amaze me!
