MRI results

Ok I have been waiting to share the results ,but it is so hard to have the courage and strength to share this very scary news and the thing I'm going to go through ,but is for the best.

So I think it was etheir Wensday or Thrusday I got this news coming home from Homework club a place where you can do homework ,but get extra help.

Ok here it goes I thought that the little grain of rice that is in my spinal cord got a tiny bit bigger and the reason why is the fluid that is in my head that is draning through the spinal cord is clogged it is like a clogged toilet and the water is not draning quick enough and the reason why is because their are two things in my neck that is clogging the fluid called cerebellar tonsils taking really tiny pieces of bone all people have them ,but the reason why I'm getting those little tiny things out is because my brain needs more room in the back this will help because it will make the opening of the back of my skull bigger so the cerebellar tonsils don't clog the fluid hopefully after that surgery is done the little pocket of should go away on its own.

The surgery will envolve me having a little cut in my neck and they will do what they have to do and then I will wake up in pain I know that is a sad part to hear ,but I will probably be in the hospitial for two or three days probably the first day just sleep and rest then the second day try to walk but moving my neck will be like not a lot so for example getting in and out of bed and doing all these things I think I will need extra help for and after the surgery stay I will probably stay an extra couple of days at Grandma and Grandpa's P house so feel free to visit the hospitail during visiting hours or when I'm at Grandma and Grandpa's P in NY the surgery will be at NYU like all my other surgerys have been. Also the surgery will be sometime in July ,but we don't know that yet it may be sooner it may be later will have to see after my vacation in the poconos from July 9th and July 12th. I will be going to see Dr. Wisoff May 18 so will get the actual results how the surgery will actual be done and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

  1. I wish I could take your place and have the surgery instead of you. You are the bravest and most wonderful girl. Me and Daddy and the whole family will be by your side to help you get better fast. I love you so much. Love Mommy

  2. You are the bravest PERSON I know. Not just the bravest kid. You approach these sometimes difficult situations with such a great attitude. Aunt Alicia, Priscilla and I are very proud of you and will be visiting you next weekend and then again of course after your surgery. We are PSYCHED for the pocono trip. I'm so honored to be in the same family as you. We love you.

  3. Ok so here's the deal. That kinda sucks but here's what you have to think about:
-You will hopefully visit the cabana at Breezy this summer and Christian and Alex are excellent Lifeguards/Slide Catchers.
-We are going to the Poconos with the whole crew and we can pretty much do whatever you want.
-You have a little boy cousin on the way who is gonna need to know how to be a good person and I can't think of a better role model!
Anyway, me and Aunt Tara have your back and we know you will rock it as usual.

  4. Dear Ava,
It really stinks that you have to get surgery during the summer. Hopefully your super healing powers will kick in and you won't have to spend too much time in the hospital after it is completed. Maybe you can even score some ice cream out it - three scoops, not two!!!

You are seriously the bravest / coolest kid I know. I can't wait to rock out with you and the fam this summer in Breezy and the Poconos. 2015 will be the summer of Ava. Just sayin'.

PS - I saw a video of you sparring with your dad in the karate dojo. You have lightning legs! I was very impressed with your hand to hand combat skills. And I'm continually impressed at your positive attitude and the strength with which you approach difficult situations.

Keep on rockin' n' rollin' girl! Love ya!

Hi Ava, Uncle Chris and I are so sorry to hear you have to have another surgery. We know you are a really tough kid who has done this before. You got this! We will be thinking about you a lot.

We hope to see you in July when we are back east. Sarah should be with us but maybe not David. He is a college student now and we are making him work instead of having fun, you know how parents are like that.

Hang in there! Aunt Cindy and Uncle Chris
